Its long-term strategy, however, is illustrated by the analogy of the three Siamese fighting fish Blofeld keeps in an aquarium in the film version of From Russia with Love. SPECTRE's goals in the other films it has appeared in have always been less lofty.

The goal of world domination was only ever stated in You Only Live Twice, and SPECTRE was working not for itself but for an unnamed Asian government whose two representatives Blofeld speaks to during the movie perhaps Red China, who earlier backed Goldfinger. In the films, the organisation has a more active role, often as a third party in the ongoing Cold War. Blofeld, with a weakened SPECTRE would appear for the final time in You Only Live Twice. The organisation's third appearance is in On Her Majesty's Secret Service where Blofeld, hired by an unnamed country or party (though the Soviet Union is implied) is executing a plan to ruin British agriculture. The organisation is next mentioned in The Spy Who Loved Me, when Bond describes investigating their activities in Toronto before the story begins. At the time of writing the novel (1959) Fleming believed that the Cold War might end during the two years it would take to produce the film, which would leave it looking dated he therefore thought it better to create a politically neutral enemy for Bond. Their top-level members are 21 individuals, 18 of whom handle day-to-day affairs and are drawn in groups of three from six of the world's greatest criminal organisations-the Gestapo, SMERSH, Marshal Josip Broz Tito's secret police, the Mafia, the Unione Corse, and a massive heroin-smuggling operation based in Turkey. It’s a shame an On Call guy only lasts 3 minutes. In Ian Fleming's novels, SPECTRE is a commercial enterprise led by Blofeld. After all, they use our own, already modded weapons, and can be coloured to match your Warframe, if you wish. More importantly, the On Call Crew is consistent. You can speak to Ticker and get a perfect guy with good stats, and you can choose what to arm them with. They feature way, way more customizing over all specters (aside from Warframe ones) but overall do more work. But in normal missions, if you are using an On Call guy, they can do huge damage depending on how you kit them out. While on your Railjack, your crew will do whatever job you gave them. While the other specters give you a little bit of help, nothing beats the crew mates you have on a Raijack. A Clem Clone at a high enough level can turn a Warframe into Swiss cheese in seconds. If you try to use a specter in a Nightmare Mission, that specter will immediately turn on you and try to kill you. In fact, you can actually see for yourself just how deadly a Clem Clone is. They don’t have much in the way of utility, but those Grakatas really help a lot. An Ancient Healer specter not only lets out a pulse of healing energy, but it gives you some damage reduction too. However, as a specter, the Ancient Healer actually gives buffs the same way an enemy Ancient Healer will. They rarely manage to kill anything and hobble around, randomly shouting at things. Ancient HealerĪncient Healers seem like a waste of space at first glance. Unfortunately, the Shield Osprey is vastly inferior to our next specter. The little guy can also provide shielding for operatives in higher level missions. I mean, even now it’s not the most useful but it has niche uses. Before we got Shield Gating, the Shield Osprey wasn’t ever really useful. The humble little Shield Osprey isn’t the most useful thing here, but with shields now being vaguely more meta, it’s nice to have someone watching your back. The question is, what specters should we use? Shield Osprey However, us mere Tenno can only use one Specter at a time. And I assume he also made many a specter out of Protea, the Warframe assigned to looking after him. They were originally the brain child of Parvos Granum, and he developed specters to the point that he has hundreds of them in the Granum Void.

What’s interesting though is that we actually have some backstory when it comes to specters. And if you play Warframe with enough random characters, you can obtain a lot of these specter blueprints with ease, as they mostly drop from Syndicate attacks.

While I have already discussed Warframe specters ( and done so quite a bit), I haven’t really mentioned the handful of other specters we can use.

Not just Warframe Specters, but random other specters too. But one of the things I find particularly odd are Specters.
